Viking Cottages and Apartments is a homely and cosy accommodation in North Iceland, located only a short drive from the town of Akureyri. Surrounded by stunning nature and even better views, this is the perfect place for a quiet and relaxing time in between exciting activities that the area has to offer.
It is very easy to get from Viking Cottages to downtown Akureyri and is only a 7 minutes drive along the highway with no traffic.
Our Apartments
Viking Apartment 15A
A modern and spacious apartment with excellent views, a terrace and a hot tub. It has 2 bedrooms and sleeps 4–5 persons. The apartment is fully equipped with brand new interiors.
Viking Apartment 15B
A newly-built and spacious apartment with excellent views, a terrace and a hot tub in a good and quiet location. It is fully equipped and has modern and brand-new interiors.
Viking Apartment 15C
A spacious and brand-new, 1 bedroom apartment with excellent views over Akureyri and Eyjafjord. Excellent location with numerous recreational opportunities in the nearby area.
Viking Cottage
A small but cosy cottage with excellent views over Eyjafjord and Akureyri. It has 1 bedroom and sleeps 2–3 persons. The cottage is fully equipped and has a terrace and a hot tub.

How do I check-in?
Viking Cottages and Apartments are a self-check-in accommodation. You will receive an email a few days prior to your check-in date with all necessary information, including driving directions, door code and Wifi password.
When is check-in / check-out?
Check-in is after 16:00 and check-out is before 11:00.
Do you have free Wifi?
Yes, all our apartments have free Wifi.
Is there any public transport nearby?
No. We recommend having access to a car to being able to fully exploit this accommodation and the surroundings, as there is no public transport service nearby.
We have small children with us, will this be a problem?
Not at all! Please get us know if you have a small child with you and we will provide you with a crib without any extra charge. We can also provide an extra mattress for kids.
How much do we have to pay for a extra person?
Nothing! If you need sleeping space for an extra person, you just need to request an extra bed in advance.
Is it possible to cook in the apartments?
It sure is! All our apartments have a fully equipped kitchen with everything you need to cook. There is also an outdoor grill if you fancy barbeque.
How do I get to Viking Cottages and Apartments?
Our apartments are located a 10-minute drive from downtown Akureyri. You will receive an email a few days prior to your check-in date that includes driving directions from downtown Akureyri. Please keep the email for further use.
What can I do during my stay?
There is an abundance of activities available in Akureyri, including golf, swimming pools, recreational areas and excellent tour operating companies. We recommend My Visit – North Iceland website for all information about activities in the area.
I've made a reservation but can't make it, what do I do?
If you booked through a booking channel such as Booking.com, AirBnb or Expedia, please refer to the booking confirmation email and cancel your booking through the same channel. If you booked through our website or elsewhere, please write us a cancellation email and send to benedikt.viggosson@hotmail.no
